LiteSkin – main body
LiteSkin is a new backpack fabric from sailcloth maker Dimension Polyant. The face of Lite Skin® fabric is a sheet of random array, non-woven filaments that provides increased abrasion and water resistance at a minimal weight gain. Waterproof to 160 psi.
500D Cordura – reinforcements
This extremely durable fabric is used in areas that take a lot of abuse: pack bottom, and side pockets.
Aluminum 6061-T6 Stay
Contoured high strength aluminum stay comfortably supports the load.
Bear Canister Fit
All standard bear canisters will fit standing on end (vertically).
Smaller bear canisters (BV450, Bearikade Scout) will fit both vertically and horizontally.
To find the correct torso size, it is best to measure your torso length. The measurement will be most accurate using a flexible measuring tape and a friend to help. Measure torso length vertically from C7 vertebrae (the bump at the base of your neck) to the spot on your spine that is level with the iliac crest (top of hipbone). Try to keep your back comfortably straight while the measurement is taken.
Small fits torso length: 15.5″ – 18.5″
Medium fits torso length: 17.5″ – 20.5″
Large fits torso length: 19.5″ – 22.5″
As another point of reference, and a very general guideline, our sizes fit people of the following height ranges:
Small: under 5’7″
Medium: 5’7″ – 5’11”
Large: over 5’11”
If you are still not sure or in between sizes, it is generally best to size up.
Small: 26″ and up
Medium: 28″ and up
Large: 28″ and up
